How to Setup Your Plivo Phone Number?

Here’s a step-by-step guide to set up your Bolna’s AI agent to answer inbound calls via Plivo.

Step 1: Copy the Bolna Inbound API URL

Navigate to your agent in the Bolna dashboard.
Locate and copy the Inbound API URL displayed on the agent’s page.

Step 2: Create an XML Application in Plivo

To enable your agent to handle calls, you need to set up an XML Application in the Plivo Console. Follow these steps:

Log in to your Plivo account and navigate to the XML Application section.
Use the official guide by Plivo for step-by-step assistance.
In the application setup, paste the Inbound API URL copied from Bolna into the following fields:
1. Primary Answer URL
2. Hangup URL
Save your application and give it a name you can easily identify later.

Step 3: Assign the XML Application to a Phone Number

Save the changes by clicking Update Number.
Navigate to the Active Numbers section in the Plivo Console.
Select the phone number you want to use with Bolna.
Assign the XML Application you created in Step 2 to this number.
